THE POKÉMON TRADING CARD GAME EXPANSION THAT EVERYONE HAS BEEN WAITING FOR IS FINALLY HERE – GET READY FOR MAJOR NOSTALGIA FEELS WITH POKÉMON TCG SCARLET & VIOLET 151!

Friday 22nd Sept 2023 saw the release of 1 of the most anticipated Pokémon Trading Card Game sets yet, Scarlet & Violet 151!

It’s been quite hard to get hold of some of this new sub set, especially with The Ultimate Pokemon Collection (UPC) that focuses on the adorable Pokémon Mew being delayed. However we managed to get our hands on a few items from the ever reliable South Wales Gaming Centre, our local Firestorm Games Cardiff store!

As soon as we started opening some packs, it was clear this set was special. To say the artwork is beautiful is a huge understatement. If you’re a fan of the original 151 Pokémon from the Kanto region & looking for nostalgia, then trust us, this is the set for you!

We came prepared with our Qwertee t-shirts on _ 151 mew and Snorlax popping out of bush. Bringing us all the Pokémon luck we needed to pull not one, but TWO Mew Ex cards – Little Vamp’s most desired card of the whole set, she was soooo happy!

Van is all about the Snorlax and has awaited this card arrival for a long time. He’s hoping for a nice Snorlax EX card to come out soon, so fingers crossed!

We managed to pull some pretty cool cards, well we think so anyway!

It was nice to see Daisy, Gary’s Oak’s sister from the Pokémon games series have dedicated card and we were lucky enough to pull The Full Art Trainer card of her too which looks awesome!

It’s also pretty exciting knowing Kadabra is finally returning to the Pokémon TCG after nearly 20 years with a new card too!

Not to mention Alakazam as an Ex card!

This card is the first to ever be able to attack from the bench and may be a game changer in future TGC Tournaments.

Hopefully we will pull him in the future.

Mew is back too, sporting a new ability called Restart: “Once during your turn, you may draw cards until you have 3 cards in your hand.”

We reckon this card will be a must have card in a lots of decks for sure.

It will be very interesting to see where this set will take the Meta now!

Along with some new Trainers as well that will bring some new elements to the game.

Such as Bill’s Transfer that lets you look at the top 8 cards and add ANY Pokémon you find into your had this will be an epic card to have in your deck!

Oh also, these new cosmic shiny energy cards are like: “Oh my sweet Pikachu!”

These beauties are going straight into our decks to give us some extra pizazz when playing matches.

Now it’s going to be a a fun hunt to complete this set and get it all in our 151 folder!

We have made a great start so far, don’t you think?!

We gotta admit this is the most exciting Pokémon TCG set we have started collecting in a long time and we can’t wait to add more to our collection!
